The RoseCraft Clinch River Swayback in Red Picked Bone combines classic pocketknife character with modern blade steel and thoughtful everyday functionality.

Designed by Andy Armstrong, this traditional single-blade slip joint features a 3.125-inch 14C28N stainless steel Wharncliffe blade with a brushed satin finish, straight cutting edge, and fine point for controlled cutting tasks.

Its distinctive swayback handle curves naturally into the hand, while a carefully designed finger choil extends across the blade and bolster, offering additional control during detailed work.

The slip joint mechanism includes a traditional half stop, giving the blade a deliberate pause during opening and closing.

But the real personality of this version comes from its Red Picked Bone covers.

Each set of bone covers is individually hand-jigged, then intentionally dyed and finished to create the appearance of a well-loved vintage pocketknife. Lighter areas, smoother spots, and variations in the red coloration are deliberate features of the finish.

Brushed steel bolsters, steel liners, nickel silver pins, and RoseCraft's nickel silver Rosebud Shield complete the traditional construction.

At 4 inches closed and 4.2 ounces, the Clinch River Swayback offers a substantial feel in a classic pocketknife profile.

Based on RoseCraft's award-winning Pattern 5, recognized as Blade Magazine's 2023 Import Knife of the Year, this updated version adds 14C28N steel to an already distinctive design.
